Dear utopians, as many of you know, I like to share my knowledge about my experience with the SCS map editor. From the beginning, I tried to share with as many people as possible what I had learned using this software, especially since it was quite difficult to find quality tutorials at the time.

I have to admit, more than once, I struggled to find this or that information. Sometimes to the point of losing my patience, as I find it absurd for SCS Software to proudly and publicly claim to be a pro-mods game publisher while not giving any official explanation on how their software works. Anyway, it seems that you're never better served than by yourself ^^

So I must have spent hundreds of hours mapping to try to understand how this editor works and the features it contains. And I still haven't finished learning because there are still a lot of things and functions that I don't know how to use!

I've always wanted to share this knowledge and that's why I published several video tutorials on my YouTube channel. I can now see that this subject is interesting since each of these videos has reached a large number of views.

Well ... All this to say that I officially publish my own user manual for SCS Software. It is not complete, far from it. I will try to add to it regularly so that you can also start this beautiful adventure of creating a map and I hope that you will take as much pleasure and pride in this activity as I do.

Obviously, the manual is free and accessible online via my website. You will find in the top menu, on the right, a new tab allowing you to join the special Notion created for this.

And to ensure that it reaches as many people as possible, the manual is available in two languages:
∟ in French when you access it from grandutopia.fr
∟ in English when accessed from grandutopia.fr/en

Direct link (English version) : SCS Map Editor - Manual

If you have a specific need regarding a particular point you would like me to cover in the manual, please feel free to let me know as I keep a list of upcoming sheets to create. And if I find the point relevant, I will gladly do it (as long as I have the knowledge!).

Good end of day to all!

Hi, thanks for this manual for the SCS Map Editor. I always wanted to create my own map, but I never found a tutorial that was good, and this one yes is perfect. Thanks a lot. Keep the good work.
